Every successful movement of social change has begun from the grassroots, from face to face engagement we have seen with the freedom riders to current movements we see on refugee and asylum seeker rights.
The Youth for Life Roadshow is a proposal for an innovative, grassroots, youth-lead national roadshow to bring the humanity of the unborn child to the streets of Australian cities and towns, to the media and to politicians, to reframe a national discourse on the issue of abortion. It is a practical step in the creation of cultural and political change towards a culture of life in Australia.
The trip will involve 20 to 30 young people traveling from Melbourne to Sydney, performing various activities such as handing out information leaflets, holding billboards and information placards, promoting petitions to politicians, letter-boxing and meeting with local MPs and councils.
The Ride for Human Rights is just under 2 weeks long, and is intended to be held from late November to early December this year. The final dates will soon be released!
